Ricci is a family owned and managed wine producer situated in the hills around Tortona, in Costa Vescovato to be precise. The Ricci family have been producing wine here since 1929 and since a large number of years they produce their wines in a complete organic and biologically-sustainable manner. All the wines that Daniele Ricci produces are truly remarkable products, but it is Timorasso wine, made of the Timorasso grape, that makes Ricci particularly unique. Timorrasso is a native local grape from this particular area which was rediscovered by Walter Massa a number of years ago and which has stimulated producers like Daniele Ricci to develop the Timorasso based wine(s) into a truly unique set of products.
Ricci has a tradition of producing wines in a complete natural and biological fashion with only the minimum intervention if and when necessary. Here Daniele’s style is frank and straight forward, without any unnecessary frills. His wines are not made to please or satisfy any specific audience. His wines have character and are a true representation of the terroir in which they were brought to life.
