Cascina Corte is a small wine producer that was resurrected through the passion of Sandro Barosi and Amalia Battaglia. A number of years ago they were fantasizing about a new project and a new life-style: restructure an old and abandoned farm, launch an activity as organic and biologic wine producers and permanently leave the city and mover to the countryside.
And so in 2001 Cascina Corte was born in the hills of San Luigi in Piemonte, between Dogliani and Monforte. The origins of this farm go back to the middle of the 17th century and since its re-birth Cascina Corte is an organic farm which the owners aim to use as a model for best organic production. The farm however is also a real working vineyard with a production of around 15’000 bottles per years and with some vines being 60 years old …

METHOD AND FILOSOFY APPLIED IN THE VINEYARD
From the start, and in close harmony with the general life philosophy of the owners, the vineyards have been managed in a purely biological fashion.
In our vineyards therefore no chemicals are being used , not as pesticides, weedkillers, fertilizers nor for any other means. The soil in between the vines is planted with different types of grasses and plants to ensure for a rich bio-diversity and to ensure a healthy natural harmony in the vineyard.
METHOD AND FILOSOFY APPLIED DURING THE WINE MAKING PROCESS
Also in the winemaking process no chemicals are used.
The grapes are all collected by hand and the whole wine making process occurs in the most natural way possible to ensure the preserve and extract the best of what nature has to offer through the grapes. In the winemaking process no ancillary products or additives are used, avoiding the use of artificial or selected yeast strains, avoiding the use of enzymes, fining, filtration, etc.
