The Azienda Agricola Alziati Annibale is a producer of Biological and Natural Wine in the Oltrepo’Pavese, a mountainous area part of Italy’s Lombardy region, south of the river Po and part of the Province of Pavia, right on the 45th parallel, the parallel that connects a large number of the world’s great red wine regions.
This wine-grower and –producer started his activity driven by a passion to recreate his childhood emotions, emotions from when he traveled through Italy with his father in search for authentic ‘farmer’s wines ‘ (vini contadini), a passion that has allowed him today to rediscover and recapture these original scents and tastes in his wine. Wine that is produced on 18 hectares of small vineyards on the crests of the hills in the Oltrepo’ region at an altitude between 250 and 300 meters above sea level in positions that are generally considered the best locations of the entire region.

METHOD AND FILOSOFY APPLIED IN THE VINEYARD
Annibale Alziati manages and cultivates his vinyards in a traditional manner, with full consideration of nature and the capabilities of his vines. He produces his grapes without any artificial or invasive treatments, without the use of any fertilizers and in full respect of nature’s time-tables. This philosophy, in combination with the old age of his vinyards, lead to a low quantity / high quality harvest.
METHOD AND FILOSOFY APPLIED DURING THE WINE MAKING PROCESS
Complete absence of any added SULPHUR or any other chemical or mechanical manipulation of the wine. The wine initially ages and matures in cement tanks to allow for them to maintain their natural elegance, after which they further mature in the bottle in the cellar.
