A wine made with grapes that were left to ferment with the skins (maceration) for 40 to 60 days, depending on the year and the caracteristics of the grapes. As a result one gets an intense and full-bodied wine, but with great elegance and freshness. A wine that truely transmits the sentsations of its terroir, including a touch of salinity. A very interesting wine with great drinkability and imense food-pairing possibilities.
The Tenuta Grillo estate is located in the east of Piedmont in the town of Gamalero, roughly between Alessandria and Nizza Monferato. The estate spreads over 32 hectares of which 17 are dedicated to the vineyards.
The production of Tenuta Grillo is based on low yields, scrupulous selection of the grapes and respect for nature and traditions. Their wines reflect the naturalness and the characteristics of the land, the vines and the specifcs of each season. Tenuta Grillo wines are typically wines for long-term cellaring.
